Getting Started

Ebbi is a focus companion built on peer-reviewed neuroscience, designed specifically for ADHD and neurodivergent brains. It helps you plan your day, breaks tasks into manageable chunks, guides you through each one with timed focus sessions, and adapts when things don't go as planned. No shame or punishment.

Every feature in Ebbi is grounded in peer-reviewed neuroscience: structured time blocks to reduce decision fatigue, ambient soundscapes designed to support focus, and compassionate check-ins to keep you moving forward.

Every new install of Ebbi starts with 14 days of full Pro access, completely free. You can experience every feature before deciding whether to subscribe.

At the end of your trial, you can continue using Ebbi's free features or subscribe to Pro to keep full access. If you start a subscription during your trial, billing begins when the trial ends. You can cancel anytime before that, and you won't be charged.

The free version gives you task planning with up to 5 tasks per session, 2 focus sessions per day, silence, white noise, and Lo-Fi as soundscapes, 7 days of session history (last 5 sessions, view-only), and today's stats.

Ebbi Pro adds unlimited tasks and unlimited daily focus sessions, all 13 soundscapes, widgets and Live Activity (Home Screen, Lock Screen, Dynamic Island), full session history, weekly and monthly stats, estimate accuracy insights, saved templates, unlimited Task Bank and Reset Bank, and fully configurable notifications.

During the free trial, everything is unlocked so you can experience the full app before deciding.

Subscriptions

Inside the Ebbi app, open the Settings tab at the bottom, then tap the Unlock Ebbi Pro banner. You will see the available plans and can subscribe through your App Store or Google Play account in a few taps.

All billing is handled securely by Apple or Google. Ebbi never stores your payment information.

Subscriptions are managed directly through the App Store or Google Play. Here's how to cancel:

iOS

  • 1Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  • 2Tap your name at the top
  • 3Tap Subscriptions
  • 4Tap Ebbi
  • 5Tap Cancel Subscription

Android

  • 1Open the Google Play Store
  • 2Tap your profile icon in the top right
  • 3Tap Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions
  • 4Tap Ebbi
  • 5Tap Cancel subscription

After cancelling, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. Ebbi cannot process cancellations or refunds directly. Those are handled by Apple or Google.

Your subscription is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, not your device. Simply sign in to the same account on your new device, install Ebbi, and your Pro access will restore automatically.

If it doesn't restore automatically, open Ebbi and go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same account used when you originally subscribed.

Both plans give you the same full Pro feature set. The difference is how you pay: Monthly is $4.99 per month, flexible, cancel anytime. Yearly is $47.99 per year, a 20% discount compared to paying monthly (about $4.00 per month). New subscribers get a 14-day free trial of either plan.

Privacy & Data

Not your tasks. All your tasks, lists, focus sessions, and schedules are stored locally on your device. Ebbi does not sync your task data to any server or cloud service, and we do not sell or share your personal productivity data.

Ebbi does collect two kinds of anonymized diagnostic data to keep the app stable and learn how features are being used:

  • Anonymized product usage signals are sent to TelemetryDeck (based in Germany, servers in the EU). Signals include event names you trigger in the app, app and OS version, and device type. No names, emails, or task content. You can disable this in Settings.
  • Crash reports are sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google) when the app crashes, so we can fix the bug. Crashlytics receives the crash stack, device model, and OS version. No names, emails, or task content.

We do not use advertising identifiers, cross-context behavioral tracking, or any form of ad targeting. See our full Privacy Policy for details including what each service collects, retention periods, and how to exercise your data rights.

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, deleting the Ebbi app permanently deletes all your data. There's nothing stored on our servers to request deletion of.

To delete the app on iOS: long-press the app icon → Remove App → Delete App.
To delete on Android: long-press the app icon → Uninstall (or go to Settings → Apps → Ebbi → Uninstall).

Click the one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send. Or email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Unsubscribe" and include the email address you used to sign up. We'll remove it within 48 hours and confirm by reply.

Troubleshooting

Background audio plays for any tier whenever Ebbi is in an active focus session. Free users get Silence, White Noise, and Lo-Fi; Pro unlocks all 13 soundscapes. If audio stops when you leave the app, check the following:

  • iOS: Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled for Ebbi. Go to Settings → General → Background App Refresh → Ebbi and turn it on.
  • Check that your device isn't in Low Power Mode, which can restrict background activity.
  • Ensure your device's Ring/Silent switch is not muted (the audio session will still honor the ringer setting).
  • If the issue persists, try force-quitting the app, reopening it, and starting a new session.

Your timer continues running even when you leave Ebbi, so you never lose progress. Pro users also get a live timer on their Lock Screen and Dynamic Island so they can see their session at a glance from anywhere.

If your timer still stops when you leave the app:

  • Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled: Settings → General → Background App Refresh → Ebbi
  • If Low Power Mode is on, it may restrict background processing. Try disabling it during focus sessions.

The Dynamic Island live timer requires:

  • Ebbi Pro subscription (or active trial)
  • iPhone 14 Pro or later (Dynamic Island hardware)
  • iOS 17.0 or later

If you meet all three requirements and still don't see it:

  • Make sure Live Activities are enabled: Settings → Ebbi → Live Activities (toggle on)
  • Start a new focus session. The Dynamic Island appears once a session is actively running
  • Restart the app and try again

Note: The Dynamic Island is not available on Android or iPad. On iPad, a lock screen / notification widget is shown instead.
